Question 1

When does GTA 6 come out?

Accepted Answer

Thursday, November 19, 2026. The game unlocks at midnight local time in every region, on both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. In Brazil, that means 12 AM Brasília time on November 19.

Question 2

How much does GTA 6 cost?

Accepted Answer

US$ 79.99 for the Standard Edition and US$ 99.99 for the Ultimate Edition in the US, according to the American press. In Brazil, the official prices are R$ 449.90 and R$ 549.90 on the local PS Store and Microsoft Store, and Standard owners can upgrade to Ultimate for R$ 100. Retailers may run deals on the boxed code.

Question 3

What languages does GTA 6 support?

Accepted Answer

Voice acting is English only. Menus and subtitles come in multiple languages, including Brazilian Portuguese (there is no Portuguese dub). The Xbox store lists support language by language.

Question 4

Is it coming to PC?

Accepted Answer

Not at launch. Rockstar hasn't announced a PC version or a date so far. Historically (GTA V, RDR2), the PC version arrived months or years later.

Question 5

Is it on PS4 or Xbox One?

Accepted Answer

No. GTA VI is current-gen only: PlayStation 5 (with the PS5 Pro Enhanced badge) and Xbox Series X|S, Series S included.

Question 6

Is there a physical disc?

Accepted Answer

No. The retail version is a download code inside a box, in stores from November 12. According to the press, codes sold in Brazil only work on Brazilian accounts. The Ultimate Edition is digital only.

Question 7

How big is the download?

Accepted Answer

Up to 212 GB, depending on your console. On an 825 GB PS5 (around 667 GB free out of the box) or a 512 GB Series S, it's worth clearing space before the pre-load.

Question 8

When does the pre-load start?

Accepted Answer

November 10. On PS5 it starts at midnight local time; on Xbox it starts at 00:00 GMT, which is 7 PM ET on November 9. You download everything early and play as soon as it unlocks on November 19.

Question 9

Does GTA 6 have an online mode?

Accepted Answer

Not at launch: Rockstar calls the game a “single player experience”. The press (Bloomberg) reports an online component for 2027, with no official name or date. The current GTA Online keeps getting support.

Question 10

Does it run at 60 fps?

Accepted Answer

Rockstar hasn't announced 60 fps or a performance mode. The press reports 30 fps on the base PS5. The PS5 Pro has the “Enhanced” badge, but nobody has officially said what improves, so 60 fps on Pro is a rumor.

Question 11

What is the age rating?

Accepted Answer

ESRB M (Mature 17+) in the US. In Brazil it's rated 18 (ClassInd) for sexual content, drugs, strong language and violence.

Question 12

Which edition is worth it?

Accepted Answer

If you only want the story, Standard has you covered. Ultimate (about US$ 20 more, per reported US prices) adds cars, weapons, outfits, tattoos, businesses and an extra mission, and the upgrade can be bought later, so there's no rush to decide. Ultimate doesn't come in a box.

Question 13

What exactly comes in the Ultimate Edition?

Accepted Answer

The full game plus the Ultimate Upgrade: the '95 Grotti Cheetah and '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, the Ganado Retro Build pickup, the Dinka Enduro bike, the Crest kayak and the Shitzu Squalo boat; the Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers and custom versions of Jason's (Girardi ES9) and Lucia's (Klose K17) pistols; Vice City Style and Goodtime Gear outfits and tattoos plus the Electric Fang studio (50+ tattoos by the FAILE collective); the Rideout Customs, Sara's Unisex Salon, Stock 305 and One-Eyed Willie's businesses; the PTT Youngin$ mission and the Classic Car Collection job for the collector Wyman.

Question 14

Is the Ultimate upgrade worth the extra money?

Accepted Answer

It depends on how you play. It's worth it if you want to start with a full garage, custom weapons and four businesses open, and plan to spend a lot of hours in Leonida after the story. It's not if you only want the campaign: nothing suggests Ultimate changes the story, and you don't need it to finish the game. If in doubt, buy Standard: the upgrade can be bought whenever you like.

Question 15

Can I buy Standard now and upgrade to Ultimate later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Ultimate Edition Upgrade is sold separately and can be bought at any time, even if you bought the boxed version (the download code). In Brazil it costs R$ 100.

Question 16

Is there a physical Ultimate Edition?

Accepted Answer

No. Ultimate is digital only. If you prefer a box, buy the Standard Edition (a download code, no disc) and add the upgrade from the store later.

Question 17

Is Ultimate pay to win?

Accepted Answer

Story mode has no competition with other players, so it's convenience, not an advantage: vehicles, weapons and businesses you'd otherwise earn or buy with in-game money. Rockstar hasn't said whether these items will carry over to the future online mode.

Question 18

Do Ultimate pre-orders get extra bonuses?

Accepted Answer

No. The pre-order bonus is the same for both editions: the Vintage Vice City Pack ('55 Vapid Stanier sedan with an Ocean Beach garage, retro outfits and hairstyles and a weapon pattern), on pre-orders and purchases made by November 20, 2026. The month of GTA+ applies to digital pre-orders.

Question 19

How much is Ultimate outside the US?

Accepted Answer

In the US it's US$ 99.99, against US$ 79.99 for Standard, according to the American press. In Brazil, official stores charge R$ 549.90 and R$ 449.90. Check your local PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store for your region's price.

Question 20

How long does the pre-order bonus last?

Accepted Answer

The Vintage Vice City Pack comes with every pre-order and purchase made by November 20, 2026. The free month of GTA+ is for digital pre-orders only, also until November 20.

Question 21

Where is GTA 6 set?

Accepted Answer

In the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida, with a modern Vice City (inspired by Miami) and five more regions: Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park.

Question 22

Who are the protagonists?

Accepted Answer

Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a duo who end up on the darkest side of Vice City after a simple job goes wrong. You can switch between them.

Question 23

Will Rockstar release an official map?

Accepted Answer

Yes. On November 19, Rockstar's site releases a cover poster and a printable map of Leonida. As soon as it's out, we'll update our interactive map.

Question 24

Is there a first-person mode?

Accepted Answer

Not at launch, according to press previews. Rockstar hasn't confirmed it.

Question 25

Are there microtransactions in story mode?

Accepted Answer

Previews report no microtransactions in single-player. Rockstar hasn't officially detailed it.

Question 26

How long is the campaign?

Accepted Answer

There's no official number. In previews, the press mentioned an internal playthrough of around 80 hours, but it depends a lot on how much you explore.

Question 27

Is the map bigger than GTA V's?

Accepted Answer

Rockstar only says it's “very big”. Press and community estimates put it at roughly 2x the GTA V map, which hasn't been confirmed.

Question 28

Do I need PS Plus or Game Pass to play?

Accepted Answer

Not for story mode: an online subscription is usually only required for multiplayer, and GTA VI launches without online. GTA VI hasn't been announced for Game Pass either.
